How do I find journal articles?

Answer

There are many ways to find journal articles and there are different methods depending on your needs and experience level. Here are some of the ways you can search for articles, beginning with the most broad search:

  1. Search Crusader OneSearch
  2. Search NCLIVE
  3. Search specific databases by subject. We have a Research Guide for each BAC major, as well as most minors.

You might also search Google Scholar. A Google Scholar search can be helpful because it is incredibly broad. It can also bring back less-than-scholarly results. If you find an article on Google Scholar that happens to be behind a paywall (they're trying to charge you money) search for the article in Crusader OneSearch and/or JournalFinder to see if the library has it. If not, you can request the article through Interlibrary Loan.
